What flavour cakes do you make?

  • Cakes can be made in chocolate, vanilla, lemon or carrot flavours. Please ask if you would like something else.

  • Buttercream icing comes in chocolate, chocolate cinnamon, vanilla, lemon or orange.

  • Cream cheese icing comes in orange or cinnamon.

  • Glace (drippy) icing comes in plain or lemon.

  • Fondant icing is always plain or chocolate flavoured.

  • Chocolate ganache is also available for a small extra charge.

  • I do not make cakes with fresh cream or fresh fruit.

What sort of ingredients do you use?

  • I use only the best, purest ingredients I can obtain such as vanilla extract not essence and pure butter not margarine. I also use only free range eggs but if you prefer organic eggs they can be used instead for a minimal extra charge.

  • I do not use nuts in my cakes but there may be nut traces present.

  • I do not add any preservatives or additives to my cakes.

  • I would love to say there are no E numbers in my cakes, and whilst there are none in the cakes themselves there are in the food colourings I use for the icing. These can be kept to a minimum by a careful choice of colours.

How soon in advance do I need to order a cake?

As all cakes are handmade and decorated, as much notice as possible is preferred. In most cases a minimum of two weeks is required, however I may be able to do a rush order in a quicker time but this may be subject to a premium of up to 50% depending on the time of year and how booked up I am.

I need a cake in a hurry. Would it be possible for you to do a cake for tomorrow?

I may be able to help you out depending on how busy I am. I will always try to do something to help. Please call me on 0208 6690770 as soon as possible.

How long will the cake last?

Hopefully not long as you will have eaten it but all the cakes will last for up to 4 days from collection. Please do not put the cake in a fridge as this makes it go stale very fast. It is best kept in a cool dark place on a flat sturdy surface.

Do you deliver?

Not personally,  but I would be happy for you to collect your cake at a mutually convenient time from my house in Wallington (near the station) or I can arrange for a taxi to collect it at cost price. Cakes need to be transported on a flat surface like a footwell or boot. Please be aware that I cannot be held responsible for cakes once they have left the premises.

Cake storage

Most cakes will be suitably boxed for transportation. However if it is a tiered cake that you require or a cake with protruding objects or a novelty cake the cake may not have a lid on it as the lid will not fit for obvious reasons. If you are ordering a tiered cake and would like a wedding box to transport it which completely covers it please let me know. All wedding cakes come with this box included.

How do I enquire or order?

Call or send me an email with what you are looking for, include the date you need the cake for, how many people or the cake size you require, the flavour of the cake and the recipients age and/or occasion and your phone number.

If you require a fast answer please call me as I am often actually making the cakes and may take a couple of days to respond, especially on Thursdays and Fridays.
